my review and extras (dismemberment cvars cheats)

I just got the game yesterday and i'd like to first off say its great but that does not realy help so now im going to b1tch.

between the great reviews, movies, and screens. and the awsome demo with all the new cheats animations beautful graphics new modles and all the screens people have posted of great saber fights and amazing things like stealing swoop bikes and stuff. not to mention it is sequal to one of the greatest games ever jk2. this game had a lot to live up to.
then i got it. the first thing i noticed was the manual was black and white inside although well done and the game cds were well not very graphicly apealling which is disapointing when this should be a visually stunning game all around. basically i could of designed them better and they have professionals. but in perspective no big deal.

the biggest bug i think we can all agree is that for some the game does not work. now manyof those maybe warezed versions and if so, screw them but still many may be valid. and i for one would be pretty mad if this game didnt work. fortunately it did and thought i got low fps i was happy.

The first cutseen is pretty good. your thrown in (with a lightsaber) into an already action packed. intriguing plot. its not like the first level of jk2 were u have no saber and ur just doin some dumb assignment and, any way the first four levels of jk2 were not that great. I'm pleased to say that this is not true of jk3. As you begin the level you notice a few things. first off the level is beautiful. the water the grass is very well done. Then you notice the level of enviroment intereaction as u cut down trees to make bridges. the you have fun killing some howlers little lizard like creature with imobilizing howl. these are lots of fun, and for me a total suprise. The models they used for them looked a little well unfinished but nontheless its great. Then u see some stortroopers(who look a lot beter thab in jk2, new shaders and such). after you slice them into bits you have to fight a cultist_saber guy(u know the ons wearing orange-brown) which is by the way a beautiful model. This is my type of game instant action. you the witness strange hapenings so already the plot thckens. you see a bright flash of light and soon after wake up to the sound of kyles voice. ther is then a cutseen in which luke senses a disturbance in the force. i always disliked luke in theses games , much rather have it set earlier and be taught by yoda. but i sighed theere still using that cruddy line. but raven had caught on kyle replies you always sence a disturbance in the force. this topped of the level for me this was the best first level ever.

so now my hopes for this game were extremely high and i should have known it couldnt last. the force training level was great. alot beter than jk2 and was even funner when roh tosses a saber droid at you. i thought this was awome and great fun. but kyle and "jaden" (my in game alter ego) felt diferently. The next mision was the same as in th demo, dissapointing because of the already limitted # of sp misions. i beat it and then the game crashed cuz i had used cheats to get melee and it set all my force powers realy high and when i got to the force selection screen the thig crashed. this bug needs to be fixed. then when i restart the game i have to play that level over to get to where i was. this is poorly done. in sp you should have a number of profles of ur characters and when you start you should be able to select a game and go into a screen where you can view your status character. stats of previous mission and such and then be able to select a mision. this should be put in the patch if possible. so i play that level over for the 19 time 16 in the emo and 2 in full. and im not nearly as happy. the next level how ever is great the droid recovery. the jawas look great 9but i knew that from the demo) and the sand people look beter the gaffi stick knock you down, perfect. The sand people are well animated and the sniper rifle can be used to hit you it realy fun plus great theme song. there are a few bugs like invible planes that cant be passd when i wrote a simple game i had the same prob but i would of hoped raven would of been able to desl with this. These bugs however dont realy interfere with gameplay so its good.
inside the jawa modile is not as great as i would have hoped tbut there are some great jk2 styled puzzles. i also wish the thing would move. but all in all great level.

I decided to try out the multiplayer. i was disapointed. there were very few severs and it was near impossible to connect to any of them. When i tried to do with jsut bots i was disapointed to find out there was no "solo siege" But when i tried a team ffa game, i was again dissapointed. In jk2 the team colors, for me atleast screwed stuff up everything on every model was blue or red and it made the game look bad. In jk3 it got worse. team colors should be an option. A mod will come. so i play ffa and its better but boba fett needs to look a lot better from the back and there should be a jango in an upcoming mod. Ther should be scaling in mp as an option. 10 foot yodas and 13 foot jawas ruin the game. make the damage more on scale modles or sumthin to make it fair. also there are a vety limited number of maps. Sum1 needs to convert favorites like bespin to jk3. Cheats should be enabled as and option before the game. and the server isue neds to be fixed. MP DISAPPOINTING.

well thats all for now. an comments welcome.

and since u wited througn this huge post treat urself to this huge list of cheats....

:P

* NOTES: 1 :
After a Jedi or Sith has died, they will drop their saber. You can pick it up!
Simply walk towards it and 'use' it when you see the use icon (a hand with a finger on a button).
Here are the posibilities for your current lightsaber(s) or lightsaber-staff (aka 'two-handed saber').

For a sith who drops 1 lightsaber:
If you have 1 lightsaber, you will pick up his hand have 2.
If you have 2 lightsabers, you will replace one saber with his and still have 2.
If you have a saber-staff, you will drop the staff and pick up his one saber.

For a sith who drops 2 lightsaber:
If you have 1 lightsaber, you will pick up his hand have 2.
If you have 2 lightsabers, you will drop one and replace it with his. Do it again and you will drop your second lightsaber and replace it with his.
If you have a saber-staff, you will drop your staff and pick up one of his sabers. Do it again and you will have 2 sabers.

For a sith who drops a saber staff:
If you have 1 lightsaber, you will drop yours and pick up a saber staff.
If you have 2 lightsabers, you will drop both of your sabers and pick up his.
If you have a saber-staff, you will drop yours and pick up his.

* 2 :
You will need to do a quick save and quick load for changes to take affect, or wait until you finish the current level.

0 = Padawan
1 = Jedi
2 = Jedi Knight
3 = Jedi Master
4+ = Increases difficulty.

*3 :
saber single_1 : if you want your character to have a single saber with the first hilt type
saber single_1 single_1 : If you wanted him to have double sabers
saber dual_1 : And if you wanted to have a staff

There are nine (9) single hilt types and five (5) dual hilt types. (single_1 - single_9 and dual_1 - dual_5)

*4 :
valid saber styles:

fast Adds the "Fast" saber style (blue style).
medium Adds the "Medium" saber style (already on..).
strong Adds the "Strong" saber style (red style).
dual Adds the "dual" saber style.
staff Adds the "staff" saber style.
desann Adds the "Desann" saber style from JK2.
tavion Adds the "Tavion" saber style from JK2.

TRICK :

This is a small trick that you can use to have a unlimited force pool... in theory...
bring up the console and type in the following...
bind [KEY] "+useforce;give force;" where [KEY] is your 'use force' key.
You can also use it for your quick force power keys. Let's pretend that force push is bound to the key...
If I want to have an unlimited force pool when I use Q, then I would do this:
bind Q "force_push;give force;" .
Basicly, as soon as you use [KEY] or Q, the force pool will be replenished!!
If you keep your the key pressed, then you will never run out of force pool, until you press another key.
This is useful for 'force grip' and 'force lightning'

This is basicly the same trick as above, but with the information changed...
BIND MOUSE1 "+attack;give ammo;give force;"
BIND MOUSE2 "+altattack;give ammo;give force;"
This will make it so that whenever you let go of the mouse buttons, your ammo and force pool will be replenished.

Just as you can type "bind [x] taunt" in the console, 'x' being any key you'd like to designate to the action, you can also use "bow", "meditate", "flourish" and "gloat" in place of taunt, assigning them their respective keys.

cg_thirdpersonangle can change the actual angle. "cg_thirdpersonangle 180" let's you do a frontal view of your Jedi.

"cg_thirdpersonrange" can also let you change the third person view distance. Default 80

cg_thirdpersonvertoffset (camera height. Default is 16)

Also, try binding a key to "thereisnospoon" (the matrix effect upon deaths). It's great for cool screenies

timeScale .5
Slows time down to half-speed.

timeScale .1
Slows time down to one-tenth speed (about like Matrix bullet-time).

timeScale 1
Returns times to normal
